Bassists of Color
Scholarship

This year, Bass Works is excited to offer a special opportunity to applicants who are underrepresented in the
wider Bass Community:
The Bassists of Color Scholarship!
This scholarship will be towards participation in the Summer Camp.

The requirements are simple...

In the written form of your choosing answer the following question:
What does being a musician, specifically a bassist, of color mean to you?

Feel free to submit an essay, poem, song lyrics or any other written form. We encourage you to be thoughtful, honest, and creative.  The winner will be chosen anonymously by a committee of faculty members who will judge the content and sincerity as to ensure equity across all aged participants.  There is no length requirement.

All submissions must be received by is May 15th.

Did you already pay for camp? Not a problem! A refund will be given to the winner if they have already submitted payment.
Questions and submissions can be directed to: bassworksmd@gmail.com
